Airlines don't volunteer your rights. Flight Rights tracks your flights and instantly tells you what compensation, rebooking, meals, and hotel stays you're entitled to.
Why Flight Rights?
Every year, millions of travelers are owed compensation they never claim. Flight Rights changes that.
Add your flight and get automatic status updates. Know instantly when a delay triggers your rights.
DOT, EU261, UK Aviation, Canadian APPR — we know every regulation and what it means for your specific flight.
Plain-language breakdown of your benefits: free rebooking, meals, hotel stays, and cash compensation.
Not just what you're owed — how to get it. Exact steps, documentation needed, and escalation paths.
How It Works
Search by flight number and date, or enter details manually. We pull live flight data automatically.
Real-time updates on delays, cancellations, and disruptions. We monitor so you don't have to.
The moment a delay triggers your rights, we tell you exactly what you're owed and how to claim it.
What You Could Be Owed
Airlines must rebook you at no charge when your flight is significantly delayed or cancelled. Flight Rights tells you when this kicks in.
For controllable delays (maintenance, crew issues), airlines are required to provide meal vouchers after a set time threshold.
Overnight controllable delays require the airline to provide hotel accommodation and ground transportation. Most travelers don't know this.
International flights with controllable delays over 6 hours can trigger cash compensation under EU261, UK, and Canadian regulations.
Built-In Regulation Database
3 hours domestic, 4 hours international. Airlines must let you deplane. We track the clock for you.
Involuntarily bumped? You may be owed up to 400% of your one-way fare depending on the delay length.
New DOT rules require automatic refunds for significant delays and cancellations. No more fighting for your money back.
Flights to/from the EU can trigger compensation up to 600 euros for delays over 3 hours.
Similar to EU261 but applies to UK-departure flights post-Brexit. Different thresholds, same protection.
Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations cover delays, cancellations, and denied boarding on Canadian carriers.

Built by DER Ventures
Flight Rights is the first product from DER Ventures' app studio. We identify real problems in underserved markets, validate demand, and ship production-ready products fast using AI-accelerated development.
The problem was clear: airlines don't volunteer your rights, and most travelers don't know what they're owed. We validated the pain point, built the regulation engine, and shipped a working app in under a month.
This is the playbook we're scaling — find underserved problems, build fast, and ship real products that solve real problems.
Problem identification, user interviews, regulatory research. Confirmed travelers don't know their rights and airlines don't volunteer the information.
Core development using Claude Code. Built the regulation engine, airline policy database, and user interface. AI pair programming cut development time by 60%.
Beta testing, iteration, and production deployment. Real user feedback, edge case handling. From idea to live product in one month.
